Cornell Professor of &lt;a href="https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/faculty-research/faculty/academic-areas/political-economy" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Political Economy&lt;/a&gt; in the &lt;a href="https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Graduate School of Business&lt;/a&gt; at &lt;a href="https://www.stanford.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Stanford University&lt;/a&gt;. He also holds a courtesy appointment in the &lt;a href="https://politicalscience.stanford.edu/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Department of Political Science&lt;/a&gt;. He serves as the Louise and Claude N. Rosenberg, Jr. Director of the &lt;a href="https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/faculty-research/centers-initiatives/csi" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Center for Social Innovation&lt;/a&gt; at the Stanford GSB. He received his MA and PhD in political science from Stanford University, where he was the Melvin &amp;amp; Joan Lane Stanford Graduate Fellow. He received a BA in economics from Yale University.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;He is the author of &lt;a href="https://www.cambridge.org/core/books/leading-with-values/6F69C69C9635C7017973B5375E87B3F0" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;em&gt;Leading with Values&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/a&gt; (with Ken Shotts, Cambridge University Press) and the editor of &lt;a href="https://store.hbr.org/product/frontiers-in-social-innovation-the-essential-handbook-for-creating-deploying-and-sustaining-creative-solutions-to-systemic-problems/10506" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;em&gt;Frontiers in Social Innovation&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/a&gt; (Harvard Business Review Press). He has authored over 100 articles on numerous topics including American politics, political behavior, and survey methodology. His research has been published in the &lt;em&gt;American Political Science Review&lt;/em&gt;, the &lt;em&gt;American Journal of Political Science&lt;/em&gt;, the &lt;em&gt;Journal of Politics&lt;/em&gt;, &lt;em&gt;Science&lt;/em&gt;, &lt;em&gt;Nature&lt;/em&gt;, and the &lt;em&gt;Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences&lt;/em&gt;, among other outlets.&lt;/p&gt;
